Kuri had her mind set on starting Judo and Kendo when she walked in the Martial Arts Center. Little did she know that it was going to be really painful and a bit confusing.

Mori stood in the center of the practice area fully garbed in the deep blue kendo robes and the loose-fitting onyx armor that coupled it. In his right hand he gripped his bokken, well-cared for as it was, and his left hand hung loose at his side. He had taken another victory. He bowed, showing no signs of wear, and respectfully meditated on the battle. He felt a faint breeze from the opening of the door and turned to see a girl he knew from the Host Club enter. He smiled, admiring her courage, and silently approached her.

"Oh, Takashi-kun, I didn't know you taught here," she said softly while blushing slightly. She looked around the room as the door closed behind her. She looked up into his eyes and stood transfixed. She shook her head violently and said "So um.. uh we are starting with Kendo I suppose?" she asked while looking at Takashi's opponent whom was laying on the ground panting.

"Ou." He said gruffly. He noted her gaze on his opponent. He gave her a small, reassuring smile. He gestured to an enclave set off from the rest of the room, with tatami mats, and nobody fighting. "Have you done kendo before?" He started walking around the edge of the room, indicating for her to follow.

"No, but I've often dreamed of doing it," she answered softly as she followed Takashi. He glanced once more at his opponent as she past him to get to the open area of mats. She sat down on the tatami flooring, and began to empty out her backpack. She carefully took out her bogu consisting of do, men(helmet) kote and tare, her bokken, shinai (she didn't know whether she needed at bokken or a shinai so she bought both), and the dogi- the uniform which consisted of hakama- the skirt and a keikogi- the jacket thingy. "Kay, so what do I do with all of this?" Kuri asked holding up a piece of equipement. She had absolutely no clue what she was doing.

Mori knelt in front of her on the tatami and placed his hands on his thighs. He smiled at her comment. The other members of the dojo went about their business, occasionally glancing at the usually solemn and solitary Mori with wonder, but knew better than to interfere. He blinked and stared at the contents of her backpack, wondering how on earth she managed to fit all of it in there. A sweatdrop appeared comically at the side of his head. "The bokken is used for basics." He indicated to the solid oak sword. "We are not using shinai today because the sparring is not full-contact." Here he gestured to the sword made of four bamboo staves. "It is difficult for beginners to move in the bogu so you may practice with just the dogi." There was a long pause as he considered something. ... "You know how to put on a keikogi and hakama...?"

Kuri felt extreamely stupid as she shook her head no. She had an idea on how to go about it but her being herself.... you never know what she'll come up with. But when she looked up into his eyes, she felt reassured that somehow, she'll get it right...eventually.

Ironically enough, a shadow of uncertainty appeared over Mori's face. He was excellent with instruction in Kendo... after his pupils were already robed. He racked his brain for another student that could possibly help with this particular- and very delicate- matter, but currently, there was none attending. "..." There was another long pause; the grave look remained on his face. "Anou... are you wearing an undershirt?"

"Um Sempai? Do you need any help? With the dressing I mean." Ria calls from the back of the room, as she was there practicing her judo... alone... again... She walks over, avoiding being hit by the other students, toward where Kuri and Mori are standing. Once she arrives she quickly bows and introduces herself to Kuri, "H-hello I am Ria Shinwa, I just moved here from America..." Then she turns to Mori. "Nice to meet you again. You could've asked for my help earlier..."

He looked up quickly, somewhat startled by the second female voice. As she made her away across the room, the gears went turning in Mori's head. He had forgotten to consider the Judo students, with whom he was less involved, and also the quiet new pupil. With an expression of guilty horror he nodded in acceptance of Ria's offer.

"Nice to meet you too. Oh, and yes I am- wearing a camisole" she said with a small smile. She was determined to get this right, so she slippped the skirt thingy over her head- clothes on underneath, and... got stuck. She sighed. "Help would be nice" she said quietly. She heard a bunch of poeple laugh at her and blushed under the skirt thing. Lucky for her, no one saw how red her face was.

A camisole was too little for Mori to bear, but thankfully Kuri didn't try to remove anything before tackling the hakama ((ooc: I assume that's what you meant by skirt thingy)). Determined as she seemed, this was completely the wrong way to go about it, but he just didn't have the heart to say it. It wasn't like with Hunny when he spilled too much tea. With a slight panic lighting up his eyes, he looked desperately between Ria and Kuri, hoping either Kuri would start her attempt over or Ria would jump in and save them both from the awkward situation. When he heard the laughter, he shot a venomous glare at the students, who immediately hushed and returned to their sparring with a fervor.

'Okay, let's try this again, shall we?' she thought to herself. She took off the hakama. Some one tried to help her but she closed her eyes, held up a hand and said "No, I will do this myself. Give me a moment." She closed her eyes and rubbed her temples. 'Let's think this through logically now. That was your first problem.' Kuri thought for about a minute, then picked up the hakama, and surprisingly, put it on correctly. She shot a challenging look to the person who tried to help her. That look also read 'See? I told you I could do it.' "Now what?" she asked Takashi.

A barely noticeable smile of relief came over him once again."Keikogi. Wrap it around and tuck it under the hakama waist sash." He paused, considering whether or not he could have made that somehow clearer, but there wasn't a simpler way to explain it in his mind. She seemed proficient at figuring these things out on her own, so he hoped she understood. He also both feared and was interested to see what would happen once Kuri finally got a shinai in her hand.

"Takashi-sempai, what will you be teaching me today?" Kuri asked with curiousity, her eyes, lost in his. Draped over her arm, was her keikgogi. She stuck one arm through, and then the next. "Now what do I do?"
